Unplugged activity:
The students clicked on to the algorithm surprisingly quickly shocking both myself and the classroom assistant!
I have a theory that our student's language skills could explain why these students seem to grasp programming concepts so easily.
Programming is a code much like language, our immersion students have developed strategies to decode language and identify patterns at an early age. They can put these strategies to work to decode and create new algorithms.
